Passaic, Bergen and Hudson County Labor Backs Reelection of Congressman Bill Pascrell

PATERSON, NJ – The Passaic, Bergen, and Hudson County Central Labor Councils (CLC) today jointly endorsed Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. for reelection in New Jersey’s Ninth District. Passaic County CLC President Thomas Kelly, Bergen County CLC President Mike Schneider, and Hudson County CLC President Barry Kushnir released a joint statement while making this major endorsement on behalf of labor unions across northern New Jersey.

“There are few leaders anywhere more dedicated to organized labor and the rights of working Americans than Bill Pascrell,” said Presidents Kelly, Schneider, and Kushnir. “Labor has won historic federal victories because of representatives like Bill. He helped the House pass the PRO Act to secure higher wages and job security for millions and we know he will keep battling to make it law. No matter what the votes and no matter what the stakes, Bill Pascrell has always been there for working men and women. There is no question our members will be there for Bill and we endorse his campaign without reservation or objection.”

“Organized labor is more popular today than it has been in decades for good reason: working men and women built America and they will keep building this country into the next century,” said Congressman Pascrell. “The elections this year will determine our ability to make progress for working families in 2025 and beyond. I look forward to fighting next to our brothers and sisters in labor to win the victories all working Americans deserve.”

Pascrell has received strong support from organized labor in his re-election campaign, including prior endorsements from groups including firefighters, law enforcement, teachers, and the New Jersey Building and Construction Trades Council.
